About

A live project support role across planned works at We The Curious, including roof-related works and car park ramp refurbishment considerations, involving contract documentation, stakeholder coordination, early-stage risk review, and project planning input within an operational public-facing environment.

Achievements

Supported the progression of pre-construction activities across 2 distinct work areas, roof works and ramp refurbishment, helping maintain continuity across parallel project discussions. Contributed to clearer early-stage project planning by supporting the review of programme assumptions, risk allocation, and delivery considerations alongside contract documentation. Assisted in translating project discussions and technical requirements into more structured internal outputs, improving coordination and follow-up. Helped strengthen project readiness by supporting the preparation of contract documentation and contributing to the early review of delivery risks within a live operational setting. Added value to pre-construction planning by developing a broader understanding of how scope, cost assumptions, programme logic, and risk allocation interact in practice. Supported smoother internal project coordination by engaging with both technical and commercial aspects of the works, rather than treating them as separate processes.

I supported pre-construction coordination activities for works at We The Curious, with involvement spanning both roof-related works and separate discussions around proposed car park ramp improvements.

My role included contributing to the preparation of contract documentation, attending project coordination discussions, and supporting the review of early-stage considerations such as programme assumptions, cost-related thinking, and risk allocation. This gave me practical exposure to how contractual, commercial, and delivery matters are considered together during the planning stages of a project.

In relation to the roof works, I was involved in project discussions and coordination tasks linked to contract preparation and wider delivery considerations. I also took part in discussions relating to proposed car park ramp refurbishment works, where key issues included deterioration to the ramp surface, water-related defects, replacement materials, and associated repainting to parts of the car park.

Through this involvement, I developed a stronger understanding of how project requirements are shaped before works begin, particularly in a live operational environment where delivery constraints and risk considerations must be carefully reviewed. The project strengthened my experience in pre-construction coordination, contractual documentation, project planning awareness, and early-stage risk review across refurbishment and maintenance-related works.
