Palladian Trust Schools Programme

I supported the pre-construction coordination of works across five Palladian Trust school sites, contributing to a range of activities spanning scope review, consultant coordination, procurement support, and contract preparation.

My role involved reviewing project information across multiple sites and helping organise inputs from external consultants and contractors, particularly where the requirements differed between schools. This included supporting the coordination of building control quotations, asbestos survey enquiries, and consultant responses, ensuring that information was presented clearly for internal review and follow-up.

I also helped assess and structure procurement-related information so that differences in scope, inclusions, and project requirements could be more easily understood across the various school projects. This was particularly useful where works involved different combinations of roof repairs, glazed corridor elements, and associated compliance considerations.

As part of my involvement, I attended site inspections, which improved my understanding of existing building conditions and helped me connect technical scope information with practical delivery considerations. I also supported the drafting of a JCT Minor Works Contract for one of the school projects, which gave me further exposure to the link between project scoping, procurement decisions, and formal contract administration.

Overall, the Palladian Trust work strengthened my experience in multi-site project coordination, consultant and compliance liaison, pre-construction planning, and project documentation, while working within the live operational context of education buildings.
