About

A project at Kingsley Hall involving early-stage planning, stakeholder coordination, and pre-construction review. My involvement focused on understanding the project context, site conditions, delivery risks, and financial considerations ahead of works progressing on site.

Achievements

Strengthened early-stage project understanding through site familiarisation, helping connect building conditions with project planning and delivery considerations. Contributed to internal discussions around risk, budget, and financial exposure, supporting a broader understanding of how commercial and delivery issues are considered together. Added value to project preparation by reviewing how risks were structured and presented to the client in a clear and decision-focused way. Developed practical awareness of how budget considerations, project risks, and stakeholder priorities influence planning before works commence. Gained exposure to both client-side and contractor-side coordination, building a more rounded understanding of pre-construction decision-making and project readiness.

My involvement in the Kingsley Hall project began with site familiarisation, where I visited the project with my director to develop a clearer understanding of the building, the proposed works, and the wider project context. This gave me useful exposure to how existing site conditions can influence project planning, delivery strategy, and stakeholder priorities at an early stage.

I also contributed to internal discussions around project risks, budget considerations, and financial exposure, which helped deepen my understanding of how commercial and delivery-related issues are assessed together before works progress. Alongside this, I supported thinking around the risk register and how risks could be communicated to the client in a way that was clear, structured, and appropriate to the stage of the project.

In addition, I was involved in pre-construction coordination discussions with the wider team, including both client-facing and contractor-side meetings. Through this, I gained further insight into how delivery considerations, financial risks, and stakeholder expectations are reviewed and aligned ahead of commencement.

Overall, the project strengthened my understanding of site-based project familiarisation, risk and budget awareness, stakeholder communication, and pre-construction coordination within a live professional setting.
